I HATE THE TERM GIRL BOSS

Like we get it, you’re a girl with a career and/or own business. Men don't call themselves "Dude Boss".

Seriously, if I have to see one more of these signs or posts! It’s like the time when everyone had the “Live, Laugh, Love” sign everywhere in their home and as their Facebook cover photo.

You don’t see men sharing signs that say “Man Boss” or “Dude Boss”. You know who the boss is in my house? Isabella. I should get her a sign that says “Baby Boss”.

Why are some women forever not owning themselves? We don’t need to prove anything to anyone. We don’t need to validate that we can and, for the most part, are doing it all with a SIGN that says, “Girl Boss”, “Bitch Boss” or “Boss Babe.” It is not necessary.

By labeling ourselves this we are admitting self doubt, feeding to a Napoleon complex and fishing for validation. That’s why men don’t do it. They don’t feel they have to and they’re right!

I’m all for girl power but I could care less about your need for a “participating in life” trophy. I’m also all for being proud of your accomplishments; I’m definitely proud of mine.

All I’m saying is along with so many other words of 2024 that have been buried away with the “woke culture” can we please add “Girl Boss” to the list? It’s, in my opinion, juvenile, patronizing and again, unnecessary.

With all the amazing woman bosses I’ve had in my life, ranging from television newsrooms to sales and marketing companies, you know what’s one thing none of these career moms didn’t have hanging on their wall? It was a sign that said “Boss Bitch”.

Real women bosses don’t need signs saying that they’re the boss because everyone already knows that they are.

Keep it simple ladies, but for some of you I mean bitches. Hey, you call yourselves that! That’s not my sign!
